CCG Software License Agreement (EULA)
Competition Controls Group, LLC ("CCG", "we") – Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
Applies to: Sector Report and other CCG Race Suite software ("the Software")
Version: 2026-10
By installing, activating or using the Software you ("Licensee") agree to this agreement. If you are accepting for a company or team, you confirm you can bind it, and "Licensee" means that company or team. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. Definitions
- Version: a release of the Software identified by a version number (for example 0.4.0).
- Maintenance period: one year from the purchase date, extended by any maintenance renewal you buy.
- License key: the key issued to you after purchase or trial sign-up.
- Output: reports, PDFs, charts, tables and settings files you create with the Software.
2. License grant
On payment, CCG grants Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to:
- install and use the Software for one named user, on up to 3 PCs at a time that Licensee owns or controls;
- use every Version released before the end of the maintenance period, including after the maintenance period ends.
Versions released after the maintenance period ends are not covered until maintenance is renewed.
To move the license to a different PC, remove an old PC in the customer portal. Additional users need additional licenses.
3. Free trial
A trial license key allows full use of the Software for 15 days for evaluation. When the trial ends the Software stops generating reports until a license is activated. Output created during the trial is yours to keep.
4. Maintenance
During the maintenance period, Licensee gets new Versions as they are released and email support at Support@competitioncontrols.com. CCG decides the content and timing of new Versions. Support is best effort: we aim to reply within 2 business days but do not guarantee response or fix times.
5. Activation and license checks
The Software must be online to activate, and must connect to the license server at least once every 30 days to refresh the license (it does this by itself at start-up when online). Between refreshes it works offline. The data sent is described in the CCG Privacy Policy. Licensee will not bypass, disable or tamper with the license checks.
6. Restrictions
Licensee will not:
- share, publish or resell license keys, or use one key for more users or PCs than licensed;
- rent, lease, sublicense, sell or distribute the Software;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent applicable law expressly allows despite this restriction, or as needed to modify or replace the open-source libraries included with the Software and debug those modifications (see section 8);
- remove or change copyright, trademark or license notices.
7. Your data and Output
The Software processes timing and data files on your PC. CCG does not receive them. Licensee owns its Output and may share it freely, including with drivers, team members and partners.
Licensee is responsible for having the right to use the timing data it imports. Al Kamel, IMSA and other names are trademarks of their owners. CCG is not affiliated with or endorsed by Al Kamel Systems or any series or sanctioning body.
8. Third-party software
The Software includes open-source components that are licensed under their own terms, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt in the install folder. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licenses. In particular, some libraries are licensed under the GNU LGPL 2.1: you may replace them with modified versions, and CCG will provide their source code on request.
9. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. CCG and its licensors keep all rights, title and interest in the Software, except the rights expressly granted here.
10. Purchases and refunds
Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as reseller and merchant of record and handles payment, invoices and sales tax. Purchases and maintenance renewals can be refunded within 30 days, as described in the CCG Refund Policy. When a purchase is refunded, the license key is revoked and Licensee must uninstall the Software.
11. Warranty disclaimer
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CCG does not warrant that the Software is error free or that its results are accurate. Licensee is responsible for checking results before relying on them, including for car setup, strategy and driver decisions.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CCG WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, PRIZE MONEY, DATA OR BUSINESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY. CCG’S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT LICENSEE PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
13. Termination
This license ends automatically if Licensee breaches it and does not fix the breach within 15 days of notice from CCG, or if the purchase is refunded. When it ends, Licensee must stop using and uninstall the Software. Sections 6 to 9 and 11 to 14 survive termination.
14. General
- This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state courts in Iredell County, North Carolina, or the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, have exclusive jurisdiction.
- Licensee will comply with applicable export control laws.
- CCG may update this agreement for future Versions. The agreement accepted when installing a Version applies to that Version.
- This agreement, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement about the Software. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
